AVLIFE was an event in 1995, attended by almost 10,000 guests, both in person and via live streaming. The project was an art performance that sought to use technical know-how as a basis for artistic experimentation. The art performance was split across four acts that took their themes from technology, media and biology.
Projects
Touchy, the human camera, is an artistic social experiment created by new media device artist Eric Siu. The Tokyo-based artist created Touchy to explore the idea of using technology to enhance human relationships. The AVL Cultural Foundation invited Siu to bring Touchy to Graz, Austria. A performance of this social exploration of technology and human contact was then unleashed on a very willing audience.

Both a film festival and a forum for discussion, Diagonale presents the best new work from the Austrian film scene for critical review in its home market. The AVL Cultural Foundation has been a long-standing partner for the opening of the festival at the Helmut List Halle.
